Founded by Herman Schreiber and his wife Blimie (the company is named with their initials), the company was originally opened as a storefront in New York City’s Lower East Side. The company quickly outgrew its space and moved to a large loft in the photo district of Manhattan in the 1970s. The company continued to grow and expand, eventually outgrowing its space again. In 1997, B&H moved to its current location in Midtown Manhattan. Their flagship store is a huge building at 9th Avenue and 34th Street. B&H’s business now includes pro-lighting, binoculars, scopes, audiovisual needs, darkroom needs, film, and other entertainment merchandise. At B&H, you can find solutions to all of your analog and digital photography needs, plus computers, printers, scanners, and related accessories.
The B&H website provides an extremely user-friendly interface allowing you to easily shop for audio visual products, binoculars, scopes, camcorders, cameras, photo gear, computers, darkroom essentials, digital photography products, film, tapes, recording media, lighting and studio merchandise, printable entertainment, surveillance equipment, TV and home entertainment needs, underwater equipment, and much more.
The founders and most of the employees at B&H are observant Satmar Hasidic Jews. The store is closed on Shabbat and on Jewish holidays. While the website remains available 24/7/365, orders are not accepted until sunset on Shabbat, in keeping with Jewish tradition.

Codes that appear on PromotionCode.org as Staff Picks (those in green boxes, as opposed to blue boxes) have been provided to us directly by B&H. Other codes may be submitted by our community users and, because of the volume of these user-submitted codes, can't be guaranteed to be valid by PromotionCode.org. Other codes may be posted by our community of users as with any electronic bulletin board. These codes appear in blue boxes and are not guaranteed to be valid by PromotionCode.org. Be sure to read any comments associated with such codes before trying to use them. You may also see at the bottom of some pages code boxes that are colored red. Those contain codes for B&H which have previously expired, or which our community of users has voted down over time although they might still be valid.
