What kind of toy can be anything? With LEGOs, your child can use simple pieces to build whatever he or she can imagine. Blocks come in different colors, shapes and sizes, with standard blocks for structure and less common ones that add style. LEGOs even come in different themes.

1. City LEGOs are great for a kid who wants to build what she sees everyday. Police stations, schools, cars, boats, gas stations, roads and more can all be constructed out of these pieces. Your little one can build a post office or even recreate your office. Maybe she'll build her own school and teach a class. Your child will also be able to recreate real buildings that she passes by every day or imagine them the way she thinks they should be.

2. LEGOs kingdoms may be perfect for your son If he wants to build a castle and fill it with knights. Set instructions will allow him to understand the basics and get started on his dream castle, which may feature solid walls or secret trapdoors, and be filled with knights in armor or people just living a regular day. The gates may be open for visitors, or closed tight to keep people out - the choice is up to your tenacious tot.

3. Space LEGOs can be used to create amazing alien spaceships with unusual crews, if it's the future that your child is interested in. His or her creations may land on a planet or fly through space in a fleet of ships, each with its own crew. The mission can go anywhere in the galaxy without leaving the living room. Maybe your son or daughter will create a research station on the moon - all it takes is some time and imagination!

4. Duplo sets, made with larger pieces so that they're safe for kids who chew on their toys and try to swallow them, can be fun for younger children. Your little ones may be happy for you to help them build a set or create something new.

Duplos can allow your son or daughter to learn about elephants and other animals by holding them in his hand. You may also find sets featuring the characters from kid favorites like Toy Story or Cars.

5. Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and other famous movies have their own LEGO sets, perfect for young fans, featuring the characters they like in the setting they want to see. Parents can have a break from seeing the movies again and again and instead allow their kids to develop their eye-hand coordination while fostering their creativity. You never know - you may even want to play with some of them yourself!

Of course, all of these building blocks may leave you worrying about one important thing - the cost. Luckily, a Harry Potter LEGO promotion code will allow you to get a better price on some sets.

And who knows - maybe you'll have enough cash on hand to buy a bunch of different sets and keep your son or daughter busy for months on end? If your child is feeling creative, or just thinks it's funny, then maybe Harry Potter and his friends can meet Indiana Jones or wander through a modern-day town. A ship from Star Wars could land in the middle of a castle, with everyone there wondering what is going to happen next. The possibilities are endless.

There are no limits what your kid can build with these blocks, so he or she should have a blast. Whether you watch or join in and help build, you may very well discover that this purchase lasts for years on end.
