Moving can be a hassle but it doesn't have to be expensive by Carmine Barbetta (FB)
Are you in the process of moving to a new home? The task can be physically demanding, starting from the packing to the actual move - then, of course, you have to unpack! If you have a lot of things to haul like furniture and tons of boxes, the process can also get quite expensive. This is why you have to be smart about getting the right deals so your move won't cost you an arm and a leg.
Get moving equipments for free. Perhaps the number one must-have accessories for a move are boxes - you wouldn't want your little knickknacks and other valuables rolling around the truck or the car now wouldn't you? Unfortunately, buying boxes can actually get pretty expensive especially if you're going to need a lot. With a little bit of patience, you can actually find boxes for free. Ask around grocery stores or shops and many of them will be more than happy to give them to you. You can also save your newspapers as alternatives to bubble wrap when packing.
Get friends to help. Hiring movers to move all of your stuff may be a convenient way to let others do all the work for you, but if you don't have the budget for burly men to come to your home and do all the heavy lifting, you can always call some friends to help out. If they're true friends, they'll definitely be there for you. Just make sure to treat them for some pizza and beer for all their hard work at the end of the day!
Find deals online. If you need moving accessories like boxes, cutters and tape, look for an Office Depot Promotion Code online and get the things you need on a discount. There are also plenty of online marketplaces that you can visit to look for deals if you really require movers to help you out or a truck to use in the process.
Moving can definitely be a hassle but it can be very satisfying once you finish unpacking in your new place and realize that you spent so little doing so.
