Pet owners look for their furry friends after tornado disaster

During natural disasters, many pets are unfortunately displaced and separated from their owners. After the tornadoes that devastated most of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the city's Metro Animal Shelter has been filled with many of these poor furry creatures.

Luckily, the shelter has seen many of the animals reconnected with their humans. Reginald Jackson was one of these people, and he was grateful that the facility took care of his one-year-old pit bull, Bolo, according to Mercury News.

"I was glad to see him," said Jackson to the news outlet after seeing his pet being brought back in after an examination.

This is one of the many stories that ended on a good note, but unfortunately, many pets are still in the shelter, either injured or simply scared from the events that they experienced.

"These dogs are so stressed out, they are scared and they just don't want to come up to the front of the cage," explained the shelter's assistant director, Linda Workman, to the news outlet.
