Summer is just around the corner, and that means it's time to start wearing some fun and flirty apparel that you can be comfortable in when it's hot outside. This also means flaunting some skin and saying goodbye to all your jackets and coats! However, getting a new wardrobe for the season doesn't mean spending too much money, even though we understand how most ladies love shopping. Here are some tips that you can use to overhaul your wardrobe without burning a hole in your pocket.

The 70s is back as evident by the runway looks from last season. But instead of buying brand new bellbottoms, why not raid your parents' closet for their old jeans - you never know what you can find in there! Besides flared pants, another hot look appropriate for the season is a pair of daisy dukes, so if you've got the legs, flaunt them! You can even get an old pair of jeans that you don't wear and cut them to your desired length for a customized look that's all you. Pair those short shorts with cute wedges or espadrilles, and you've got an outfit that's perfect for lounging by the pool or strolling in the park - just don't forget your DesignerShoes.com promotion code when purchasing your shoes for additional savings.

Besides the 70s, the runways of New York, Paris and Milan also showcased women's wear with a masculine touch. To emulate the look, grab your boyfriend's oxford shirt, roll the sleeves up and cinch your waist with a statement belt - just be sure to pick a light colored shirt like white or light blue. The look goes great with some chunky jewelry pieces like a cute bejeweled necklace or a stack of bracelets. You can also pair the shirt with an extra short skirt for a fun night out on the town or with black leggings for a calm and confident look.

Of course, floral pieces are never out of style during the spring and summer months, so a cute summer dress with flower patterns is a must-have in any wardrobe. To save money on an adorable frock, look for discount racks at your favorite store - they'll have a variety of pieces from past seasons to choose from.

Remember, you don't have to shell out exorbitant amounts of cash to have a cute and summer wardrobe!
